Mindworks Surrey

What is Mindworks?

Mindworks Surrey is the emotional wellbeing and mental health service for children, young people and families across Surrey.

The Mindworks Surrey service is delivered by an alliance of organisations (NHS and national and local voluntary sector) working together to provide a range of services for children and families, with the aim of delivering the appropriate level of support at the right time.

Learning Space is proud to be part of the Mindworks Alliance, delivering early intervention and neurodevelopmental specialist support.

Emotional wellbeing 1:1 support

Learning Space provides 1:1 support through dedicated teams based in:

  • Redhill
  • Guildford
  • Tadworth

Our work is child-centred, strengths-based and solution-focused, helping children and young people develop confidence, resilience and practical strategies to support their emotional wellbeing.

We support children and young people experiencing a range of emotional wellbeing needs, including:

  • Anxiety and worries
  • Low confidence and self-esteem
  • Difficulties with friendships and relationships
  • Emotional regulation challenges
  • School-related concerns
  • Life changes and transitions
  • Building resilience and coping skills

Neurodevelopmental specialist 1:1 support

Learning Space provides neurodevelopmental specialist 1:1 support through dedicated teams based in our 3 centres.

We support children and young people whose emotional wellbeing may be impacted by neurodevelopmental differences, including Autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental needs.

Our aim is to help children and young people better understand themselves, recognise their strengths and develop strategies that support them in everyday life.

Parents and Carers

Our 1:1 and group work is flexible and responsive to each individual child and young person. You will be able to speak with the practitioner supporting your child and sessions will often include time together to share new skills that can be practiced or to answer questions.

We offer a range of webinars designed to increase understanding of neurodevelopmental differences and provide practical strategies for supporting children and young people.
