The difference you make
Surrey Freemasons life-changing grant

With increasing numbers of children and young people in Surrey facing anxiety and mental health issues, the demand for our services is at an all-time high. To help us meet this unprecedented need, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Surrey Freemasons have awarded Learning Space a transformative £50,000 grant.
This incredible generosity goes directly to our Therapeutic Garden Groups work in Farncombe and Patchworking in Dorking. For anxious or neurodivergent children, working side-by-side in nature removes the intense pressure of a clinical room. This grant funds garden therapy for 60 young people over the year, giving them practical coping tools that frequently shift their happiness scores from a 1 or 2 out of 10, right up to an 8 or 9 in just 3 to 6 sessions.
Because a child’s distress affects the whole home, this funding also creates a vital ripple effect—bringing direct relief and support to more than 120 people in total, including parents, carers, and siblings.
The Freemasons recognise that investing in early intervention today ensures a healthier, happier community tomorrow. Their grant generously gets us exactly halfway to our £100,000 community appeal target.
We want to extend our most heartfelt thanks to the Surrey Freemasons for their belief in our young people.
We cannot give children a world without anxiety, but together, we can give them the tools to cope.
To help us bridge the remaining £50,000 gap so we can provide a full service for the year, please donate here. Every pound is an investment in a child’s one chance at a happy childhood.

Thank you for your support
